New York Times sports columnist William C. Rhoden, left, and Charles Williams III, Law '69, celebrated the life and work of Paul Robeson, Law '23, at the eighth biennial benefit for the Paul Robeson Scholarship in Minority Legal Studies at Columbia Law School. The event was held Nov. 16 at the United Nations. Robeson was a two-time All-America football player who went on to become one of the country's most prominent figures in entertainment and social activism. Rhoden said Robeson was "the most under-appreciated athlete of this century."
