Two students have been named Student Employees of the Year and were honored in a ceremony Apr. 24 in the Kellogg Center. President Rupp made the presentations.
Anika S.Moore, SEAS '97, was named undergraduate student employee of the year. She works at the Intercultural Resource Center at Columbia and was nominated by her supervisor, Susan Stuart, coordinator.
The graduate honoree is Ellen McLarney, a student in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. She works in the humanities office and was nominated by her supervisor, Eileen Gillooly, administrative director.
Of the 66 students nominated, the two winners were chosen by a panel of three readers.
This is the third year the awards have been given at Columbia. They are sponsored by the National Association of Student Administrators. The undergraduate winner will be entered in a competition for the state and national awards by the association.
