The annual King's Crown Awards ceremony, which for more than 75 years has recognized undergraduates for their leadership on campus, was held Apr. 23 in Wollman Auditorium. More than 200 awards were presented to outstanding students. Awards were presented to students for their work in student government, clubs, Earl Hall activities, volunteer work in Community Impact, campus Greek associations and the Undergraduate House Council. Also during the ceremony, the office of student activities announced the name of the temporary building: It will be the Lion's Court. Alejandra Montenegro, CC'98, submitted the winning name in a contest sponsored by the office of student activities. She won $100. A $500 contest to find a mural design for the exterior of the building was won by Jason Das, also a student in the College. His design, a rendering of the campus highlighted with illustrations of lions, will be painted on the side of the building this summer.
