Rangel Speaks at DDC Conference

ongressman Charles Rangel (D.-N.Y.) gave the keynote speech at the National TRIO Day Career Conference at Columbia last Saturday, hosted by the University's Double Discovery Center. More than 200 New York City high school students attended the event. Columbia's DDC has two of the oldest and largest TRIO programs in the nation. The programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Education for low-income students who will be among the first generation in their families to attend college.
