Intercultural Resource Center Celebrates Its New Home

Record Photo by Joe Pineiro.

Columbia's Intercultural Resource Center marked its relocation to its new home at 552 W. 114th St. last Friday evening with an Open House. Among those joining in the celebration were, above, Manning Marable, professor of history and director of the African American Studies Program, and Susan Stuart, center coordinator. Founded in 1989, the center is a multipurpose house devoted to developing greater awareness and appreciation of African American, Asian American, Native American and Latino cultural contributions at Columbia and in the greater New York area. Stuart said the new location is much more accessible to campus than the old center on W. 113th St.
