Brown Bears Claw Lions

Of the five teams invited to the Columbia Classic Volleyball Tournament, three— Columbia, Navy and U. of Hartford—finished in a tie for first place with 3-1 records. The Middies were awarded the top spot, however, for having the best game record. Lion setter Julia Topik, CC'03, and outside hitter Katie Beauregard, CC'03, were named to the all-tournament team. Long Island University and U. of Maryland/Eastern Shore also participated in the Columbia Classic.

ith but one full day of rest after its tournament, the team returned to action at Iona on Monday evening. The Light Blue overcame an 0-2 deficit to grab a 3-2 victory from the Gaels, and up its record to 10 wins against just three losses
