Registration Instructions

If you are a student in one of the programs listed below, please follow the registration instructions specifically provided by your school:

All other students may register on Student Services Online (SSOL) during their assigned appointment times. You will need your UNI and UNI password.

Note: if you do not have Web access, you may also register by telephone by calling (212) 854-8282 during your scheduled appointment times. You will need to provide your 9-digit student ID number (found in your Academic Profile) and your assigned Personal Identification Number (PIN). Changes to your registration are effective immediately. However, activity will not be reflected on SSOL until the next business day.

Approvals

Some classes may be blocked for phone or web registration because they require that you show proof of approval. Check the Directory of Classes to find out if you need instructor or departmental authorization for a class.

Depending on your school and program, you may need one or both of the following approvals:

  • Approval of your advisor and/or class center

  • Approval from the school/department and/or instructor offering the class

If you are not able to register by phone or web, you must visit the Office of the Registrar to register in person. You must bring a completed Add/Drop form with approval signatures when you register in person.

Holds

You will not be permitted to register if a hold has been placed on your student account. To find out if you have a registration hold, check Holds on SSOL.

Late Registration

You must register for at least one course before the start of the term in order to avoid being charged a late registration fee.

For more information about registration, contact your school or department.
