An exploration of the philosophical and theological writings of Hegel, Shelling, and Kierkegaard. Special attention will be given to the way in which these three pivotal figures frame issues for subsequent philosophers, theologians, writers and artists. Works to be considered include: Hegel, Early Theological Writings; Lectures on Religion and Phenomenology of Spirit; Kierkegaard, Either-Or; Philosophical Fragments; Concept of Anxiety; Fear and Trembling.
