Biography
Professor Adamek specializes in medieval Chinese Buddhism, and her research interests include Buddhist donor practices and the religious art of the Silk Road. She is the author of several articles on Tang dynasty Chan (Zen) Buddhism, and she is currently working on a book entitled The Mystique of Transmission: On an Early Chan Text and its Contexts. She teaches Chan/Zen Buddhism, Daoism (Taoism), Chinese Religious Traditions, and courses on topics in theory and Asian religions.
