Welcome to the Columbia University Men's Rugby Football Club's New Website

The first thing you need to do is make contact with us! You can either email our recruitment chair, Zach Bull (zmb2103@columbia.edu), or just show up to practice--we can get all your info and set you up with the basics there.

Practice times are Tuesday and Thursday. We meet at the sundial at 7:45pm, and head up to Baker Field at 217th & Broadway to practice from 8:30pm to 10:30pm. Practices are mandatory--don't expect to get much playing time if you don't attend practices, so make sure to schedule classes around this!

In order to play the game, all you need is cleats and a mouthguard. Your cleats must have NO toe cleat (football cleats have toe cleats, but you can cut them off) and must NOT have metal spikes. Other optional equipment includes gear like shoulder pads and scrum caps--if you're interested in them, make sure they are IRB approved! Check out Ruggers for any equipment that you might need.

In order to play in union games, you must be registered with USA Rugby. The online form (one time payment of $30) is located here.

*Please note that in order to play for CURFC, you must be affiliated with the university. Unfortunately, as a member of the Ivy League, CURFC is unable to assist in admission or provide scholarships to rugby players. If you are interested in men's club rugby, you may want to check out the Old Blue RFC.
