COÖP Outdoor Equipment Rental Policies
Equipment Reservations
Reservations are required for all equipment rentals.
Reservations must be made at least a week in advance of trip to ensure
customers get their rentals (possible exceptions). Reservations can be made by emailing
cooprentals@columbia.edu and on our rental webiste
http://www.cuarts.com/calendar/view/type/4/event_id/575. Customer must bring receipt to the pick-up appointment. Please note trip location on the receipt.
Reservation Cancellations
There is no charge for reservations cancelled more than two days in advanced.
50% of rental fee is charged if cancelled fewer than two days in advanced. No refunds for equipment not picked-up.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off
To schedule pick-up and drop-off times please email
cooprentals@columbia.edu. Pick-up and drop-off times are on Mondays from 7-8 PM and Thursdays from 5-7 PM (possible exceptions).
Damage/Loss & Equipment Cleaning
You are responsible for the full costs of repairs or replacement if equipment or gear is damaged, lost or stolen.
Please return all items clean. There will be a $15.00 per item charge for each item that must be cleaned.
COÖP Leader Discount
All past and present COÖP Trip Leaders receive a 100% discount on
all rentals. Leaders can rent equipment for no charge for up to
two people. They will be refunded in full after the equipment is returned.
Blackout Dates
Rentals are not available during the last three weeks of May or the last two weeks of August.

Columbia Outdoor Orientation Program (COÖP) is a pre-orientation
component of the New Student Orientation Program (NSOP), coordinated by
the Student Development and Activities Office (SDA) of Columbia
University. Student Development and Activities in a member of the
Division of Student Affairs for the Columbia College and the Fu
Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science.
