The Robert A. W. Carleton Strength of Materials Laboratory is a large facility equipped for research into all types of engineering materials and structural elements. The laboratory also houses experimental facilities to conduct vibration research. Its Water Resource Laboratory is equipped for experimental studies of fluid and sediment transport. The Activities Board at Columbia (ABC) is the governing board that oversees Columbia FSAE as an undergraduate student group on campus. There are currently 155 organizations recognized by ABC, including cultural clubs, performance groups, publications, and special events.
