Stephen Case is the Managing Director and General Counsel of Emerald Development Managers LP.

Mr. Case has a long history of active involvement as a volunteer and benefactor with both Columbia College and the Law School. He has served as a director of the Columbia College Alumni Association and is a member of the Law School's Board of Visitors and its capital campaign executive committee. He also served as the co-chair of the Washington Reception for President and Mrs. Rupp in the fall of 1994. Mr. Case currently serves as the first Chairman of the Columbia Alumni Association (CAA), the umbrella organization for the University's 250,000+ alumni.

He is endowing the Edwin H. Case Professorship in Music, named in memory of his late son, who was a member of the Columbia College Class of 1992. Furthermore, he also has endowed a scholarship at the College in memory of Edwin.
