Savio Tung

Columbia, B.S., 1973

Savio Tung received the B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia's School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Tung is Managing Director with the investment firm Investcorp International Inc., where he oversees the firm's global technology and telecommunication investment activities. Investcorp provides international investors with corporate and real estate investment opportunities in North America and Western Europe. He started his banking career at the Chase Manhattan Bank in 1973 after his graduation. He joined Investcorp in 1984 and served in its Bahrain and London office until he returned to New York in 1987. He served on the corporate boards of Saks Fifth Avenue, Circle K, Star Markets, and Simmons. He is the chairman of Wireless Telecom Group and board member of Dialogic and Magnum. He is also a board member and treasurer of Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center. Savio also sits on the board of Committee of 100. In addition, Savio is an independent non executive director of Bank Of China, Hong Kong.

Since 1993, he has served the University as an active member of the Engineering Alumni Council and director of the Asian Columbia Association. His son, Kevin, is a graduate of Columbia's Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science (class of 2001).
