The Ancient Near East

This seminar was created to coordinate the archaeological chronologies of the regions of the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean. The seminar meets from four to six times a year and the most relevant papers were published in the American Journal of Archaeology until 1988. Since then such papers have been published in the Journal of the Ancient Near East Society. Recently, the focus of the seminar has been widened to include all aspects of the ancient cultures of the Near East and its adjoining regions.
