Caucuses. Student, nontenured faculty, and tenured faculty caucuses, composed of representatives of their respective constituencies, perform certain organizational tasks, including the nomination of members to the Executive Committee and other standing committees. The caucuses also meet for action on common interests. In 1995, the Senate merged the student caucus with the Student Affairs Committee, changing the by-laws accordingly. The Research Officers Committee and the Alumni Relations Committee function in certain ways as caucuses.
