RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
FOR THE WORK
OF THE COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN
WHEREAS the University Senate Commission on the
Status of Women has completed a lengthy and thoroughly researched study of the
academic advancement of female faculty at Columbia, and
WHEREAS the Commission has submitted a comprehensive
report, whose conclusions will require some time to study and implement;
THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED that the University
Senate accept the report of the Commission with praise and gratitude, and
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the
Commission on the Status of Women
pursue,
in collaboration with the Administration, its work toward a set of final
recommendations for implementation.
