Undergraduate Financial Aid

Disbursement

New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) forwards all approved TAP awards to the University for release into your student account.  However, prior to and after the release of these funds, the University Registrar’s Office must certify your full-time enrollment status

APTS awards are processed by the Office of Student Financial Planning Office (SFP) for students in the School of General Studies.  Once SFP determines the students’ eligibility based on the established criteria, a roster of eligible students is then forwarded to HESC for their final approval.  Although funds are released into a student’s account based on SFP’s initial determination, they may be removed if HESC determines that the recipient is ineligible.  All APTS awards are posted after the add/drop period.

Generally, TAP and APTS awards are posted to the students’ tuition accounts after add/drop or within 6 weeks from the start of the term.
