Meeting Minutes from February 18, 2001

I. Meeting Opening - Meeting Called to Order at 9:00PM.

III. Old Business

- Final decisions on who will live in the house during 2001-02 academic year. Non e-board brothers interested in House single: Agrawal, Hofstetter, Hwang, Lora, Morris, Wolf (Sicular has S.E.). Note: Freshmen are ineligible for single. Volunteer(s) for doubles: Brian Pelligrini. Others? Lora with Pelligrini; Schenk and Hoffstetter offer to take double if no one else volunteers. Please refer to President Fidyk's notes for Room Assignments.
- Special Exceptions hearings for Brothers Hofstetter & Agrawal Vote Result for Hofstetter: 24-2. Agrawal declines hearing.

IV. New Business

- Drug policy proposal from E-board: a) No brothers or acquaintances of brothers are permitted to have illegal drugs in common areas of the house. b) Smoking in rooms is permitted as long as users show courtesy by closing their doors AND opening a window. c) Brothers are NOT allowed to smoke during Sunday meetings. VOTE FOR APPROVAL: No formal vote taken. Informal acceptance of proposal granted as no objections were made.

V. Chapter Counselor's Report/Alumni Board Report - John Beisler

- Next meeting, Tuesday Feb. 20rd @ 8 pm

VI. House Manager's Report - Brother Agrawal

- V-Day Party Cleanup "successful." Plaque on the way; bigger bathroom wastebaskets requested.

VII. IGC Report - Brother Hoffstetter

- Greek Awards banquet: Only one person in chapter can be nominated for each award.
- IGC Meeting tomorrow night.

- Dates of Phi Rites of Passage: Group I: Feb 23rd @ 8 pm (mostly upperclass Sigmas). Group II: March 2nd @ 8 pm (freshmen Sigmas).
