Raye Barbieri teaches Advocacy in Social Work Practice at CUSSW. She is currently the Project Director of the Harlem Community Justice Center run by the Center for Court Innovation, a community court in East Harlem focusing on housing, youth crime, and offender reentry. Ms. Barbieri joined the Center in 1995 and has held numerous positions at various problem-solving court projects including the Midtown Community Court, the Brooklyn Treatment Court and the Manhattan Family Treatment Court.

Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Barbieri served as a forensic social worker with Legal Aid Society's Parole Revocation Defense Unit. She has also served as a CUSSW field instructor and educational coordinator. Barbieri earned a BSW from Wheelock College in Boston in 1987 and an MS from Columbia University in 1988.
