Aimee Campbell is a Senior Research Associate at the Social Intervention Group, Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW) and is a doctoral candidate at CUSSW. She teaches Clinical Case Evaluation.

Prior to receiving her Master of Science degree in social work from CUSSW, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in sociology at the University of Washington. She has been involved in intervention research since 1995 and is currently working with NIDA’s Clinical Trials Network in the Long Island node on several national multi-site studies examining the effectiveness of interventions for women and men in community-based drug treatment programs.

She has published multiple papers focused on gender specific issues, including trauma, addiction and sex work and was an author on a recently published book through APA Press, Trauma Services for Women in Substance Abuse Treatment: An Integrated Approach. Her research interests focus on examining and intervening in the competing risks to the physical and mental health of drug-involved women and examining innovative dissemination and implementation strategies for empirically supported interventions.
