Mary Ann Drury, LCSW teaches Workers and the Workplace: Issues,
Policies, Research, and Programs at the Columbia University School of Social Work.
Ms. Drury received her MS from the Columbia University School of Social Work and her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin. She completed a 4-year post-graduate clinical fellowship program at The Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy and conducts a part-time private practice.
Her career path in the EAP field started in 1988 and included both clinical and organizational leadership positions. She is currently a Consultant & Executive Coach at Corporate Counseling Associates, Inc., a performance consulting firm providing workplace solutions to organizations in various industries including finance/banking media/entertainment, the arts, health care, education and social services.
Ms. Drury is an advisor to Human Resources professionals on a wide range of issues affecting employee well being and productivity. She designs and delivers risk-management programs on prevention of violence and management of psychiatric emergencies at work. She delivers wellness workshops on Resiliency, Organizational Change, Substance Abuse Awareness and Balancing Work/Family. As a coach, she helps executives initiate behavioral change, improve leadership style and develop self-management skills.
She periodically contributes to NAMI-NYC and was a think tank participant on Managing Mental Health Benefits and Programs in the Workplace. In 2008 she trained the Social Work Disaster Response Team of The Bronx Emergency Preparedness Coalition on “Secondary Trauma” and “Psychological First Aid” in collaboration with the CUSSW Workplace Center.
