Dr. Richard Embry has over 30 years experience in the Social Work profession where he has served as a clinician, administrator, policy advocate, researcher and educator. Dr. Embry’s principal practice area is in child and family mental health while his research interest are in disability and exposure to family violence. Dr. Embry is currently the Administrative Director of Child, Adolescent and Family Services in the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he promotes the use of consumer-empowered, outcome oriented, evidence based treatments with low-income urban children and their families.

Dr. Embry received his MSW from Washington University in St. Louis and his doctorate in Social Work from the University of California, Berkeley.
