Lin Fang is an Associate Research Scientist and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University School of Social Work. She is also a Clinical Social Work Supervisor at Charles B. Wang Community Health Center.
Dr. Fang received her M.S.W. from Hunter College School of Social Work in 1999, and Ph.D. from Columbia University School of Social Work in 2005. Currently, Dr. Fang holds a minority investigator supplement award from the National Institute on Drug Abuse to prepare her independent research on effective, culturally competent substance abuse preventions for the Asian American adolescents. Dr. Fang has focused her work on investigating the individual, familial, peer and cultural processes associated with substance use; evaluating the efficacy of a computer-mediated, family-based substance abuse prevention program; and designing and developing culturally appropriate substance abuse prevention programs for Asian American adolescents.
In addition to her research work, Dr. Fang also maintains her clinical practice at a community-based integrated mental health program and teaches clinical case evaluation and program evaluation at CUSSW.
