Matthew Feldman teaches Clinical Case Evaluation at the Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW). He is a B.A. graduate of Brandeis University and received his Master of Science degree in Social Work from CUSSW in 1998.
Mr. Feldman is a social work practitioner with six years of clinical experience in diverse healthcare and community-based settings in New York City. His past clinical experience has included work with children and families at the St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, in both the child psychiatry and HIV outpatient clinics. His current practice, through the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, is primarily with older adults and their families coping with mental or physical illnesses.
Mr. Feldman is a Ph.D. candidate in Advanced Social Work Practice at CUSSW. He is currently working with Nabila El-Bassel at the CUSSW Social Intervention Group (SIG) on Project EBAN, a multi-site intervention study of HIV serodiscordant couples. His work focuses on the development and implementation of the quality assurance protocol. For his dissertation, Mr. Feldman is examining the relationship between domestic violence and HIV-risk related behaviors in Latino gay men.
