Richard Glover teaches Program Evaluation
and Macro Community Practice
at the Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW).
He received a Masters in Social Work Administration from CUSSW
and a B.A. in Business Administration from Boston University.
He has presented at national conferences and published articles
on school safety and security related issues.
Mr. Glover is the Executive Director of the Division of School Safety and Prevention of the New York City Department of Education/Office of School Safety and Planning. He is formerly the CEO of School Safety Professionals, LLC, a consulting firm incorporated to help local school systems establish and maintain a safe and secure teaching and learning environment. He is also president of the Creative Source, a small consulting firm whose main area of expertise is group facilitation, program assessment, planning, implementation, and management. He has recently worked with the Citizens for New York City on applying community policing/collaborative problem-solving techniques to public school settings and with the Regional Community Policing Institute of New York as a trainer of trainers in Ethics, Community Policing, and Domestic Violence Prevention. Mr. Glover is currently a Ph.D. candidate at CUSSW in Social Work Administration.
