Amy Kapadia is a doctoral candidate at the Columbia University School of Social Work. She is interested in issues of mental health specifically in enhancing service utilization among immigrant populations. Kapadia has worked with individuals with severe mental illness and concurrent substance abuse issues within community-based settings. She has been involved with HOPE-NY on a project to enhance post disaster coping skills for NYC community and spiritual leaders. She has taught Human Behavior and the Social Environment at CUSSW and Research II at the Silver School of Social Work at New York University.
