Dr. Patricia Kolb worked full time for the Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW) from 1996-2000 and was instrumental in developing changes in the HBSE curriculum and teaching HBSE 1 and 2,Ethnicity, and Intergenerational Family Practice. She has taught Ethnicity at CUSSW as an Adjunct Assistant Professor since that time. Dr Kolb is an Assistant Professor at Lehman College of the City University of New York and has taught as an adjunct at Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University, as well as teaching in the fields of sociology, anthropology, and psychology.

Dr. Kolb has many years of social work practice experience, primarily in gerontological social work, and an extensive record of publications and research. Her most recent publication is a book, Caring for Our Elders: Multicultural Experiences with Nursing Home Placement, and she is the P.I./Project Director of the Hartford Foundation-funded Geriatric Curriculum Enrichment Project at Lehman College.
