Lucia McBee, LCSW, MPH, CYI is a geriatric social worker and certified yoga teacher who has worked with elders and their caregivers for 27 years.
Ms. McBee currently teaches Social Work Practice II: 7102.

For the past 13 years, Ms. McBee has integrated mindfulness and complementary therapies into her social work practice for clients with loss and pain; cognitive and physical challenges; patients at the end of life; and their formal and informal caregivers, primarily at the Jewish Home Lifecare System. Her work has been published in peer reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. Her book, Mindfulness-Based Elder Care, was published in April, 2008. In addition to her work, McBee has been a field instructor and educational coordinator for social work interns for 10 years.
 
Ms. McBee received her Masters' in Social Work and Public Health from Columbia University in 1994. In addition, she has trained at the Center for Mindfulness, the Center for Mind-Body Medicine and Kripalu Institute. For more information about Ms. McBee, visit: www.luciamcbee.com
