Clarener Moultrie, an Associate Director of Field Education, has worked in and with the not-for-profit, private, and community-based sectors for over twenty years. She received her MS in Social Work from the Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW) in 1981, and a minor from the Columbia University School of Business.

Prior to her responsibilities at CUSSW, organizations in which Ms. Moultrie held positions in direct service and management include, Pius XII, The Fund for the City of New York, and the New York City Partnership and Chamber of Commerce. She has served as a consultant for the Mayor's Office for Youth, the Fresh Air Fund, and as a senior consultant and evaluator on a national grant for the Academy for Educational Development. In addition to having taught courses in Advanced Practice and Programming, (formerly) Social Administration, and Advocacy at the school of social work, she co-developed and taught Mediation Skills for Social Work Practice, and assisted in the development of Advocacy in Social Work Practice. She has participated, since its inception, in CUSSW's Multi-cultural Orientation as both a facilitator and trainer. As an Associate Director of Field Education, she developed and currently manages the Contemporary Social Issues (Problems) field of practice and is a contributing author on "Contemporary Social Problems" in The Columbia University School of Social Work: A Centennial Celebration, (Feldman & Kamerman, Editors, 2001).

Ms. Moultrie's community involvement activities include serving on various boards and committees, conducting community mediation sessions, and reviewing and rating grant proposals.
