An openly identified transgender man, for the past 25 years Mr. Elijah C. Nealy has worked extensively with LGBT adolescents and adults in both pastoral and social service capacities. He received his master's in social work from Columbia University and a master's of divinity from Union Theological Seminary.
Currently, Mr. Nealy is in private practice as a clinical social worker and is available for trainings, workshops, and consultation. Mr. Nealy brings extensive clinical experience in working with LGBTQ concerns, addictions, couples and family therapy, mental health, and issues of spirituality in clinical practice. He previously worked for 12 years at the LGBT Community Center in New York City, initially as Director of their adolescent and adult mental health programs and then as Deputy Executive Director.
