Kate Reiss teaches Social Work with Children, Youth and Families and Advanced Clinical Practice at the Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW).
She
is currently a Research Specialist for the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) in New York City, where she is responsible for assisting in the ongoing development of the Scorecard performance measurement system for both foster care and preventive services. She has also served as Special Assistant to the Associate Commissioner, Director of Mental Health and an Agency Consultant at ACS.
Prior to working for the City, Ms. Reiss provided individual and family therapy to families and youth involved in the child welfare system in residential treatment centers, group homes, clinics, day treatments and preventive services agencies. Her research is focused on best practice for preventive and foster care services.
Ms. Reiss received her MSW from CUSSW.
