David Rosenthal teaches Clinical Case Evaluation at the Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW). He received his MSW from Columbia University in 1979, and his Ph.D. from The Union Institute & University in 1989.

Dr. Rosenthal has worked as a clinical social worker with children and families in various settings for more than twenty years. He has served as Director of Training at the Grand Street Settlement, and as Director of Mental Health in the Children's Aid Society's Community Schools.

He has been involved in social work education for many years, teaching Clinical Practice courses at both the Masters and Post-Masters levels, and serving as field supervisor for many interns.
