Lauren Taylor is currently teaching both Psychopathology of Adulthood and Aging and Human Sexuality at the Columbia University School of Social Work. Ms. Taylor has also served as a field instructor for Columbia social work students.

A graduate of CUSSW, where she was the recipient of a Dean's Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement, Ms. Taylor has worked as a psychiatric social worker in the field of aging for over ten years. On staff at the New York Service Program for Older People (SPOP), a mental health clinic for older adults, Ms. Taylor has a particular interest in group work, and expertise in the areas of aging and sexuality, and substance use in the elderly.

Ms. Taylor has conducted seminars and workshops on a wide variety of mental health issues related to the aging process. In 2002, in conjunction with CUSSW, she made an educational film about sexuality and aging, funded by the Hartford Foundation and distributed by the New York Academy of Medicine.
