David Walker
Adjunct Assistant Professor

David Walker teaches Program Evaluation at the Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW). He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Stanford University, where he graduated with honors and distinction in African-American Studies and Psychology (double major). He received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and was admitted to the New York Bar. He received his Masters Degree in Social Work from CUSSW.

Mr. Walker became the new Executive Director of the Morristown Neighborhood House in July 2002. Developing programs for at-risk youth and teens has been an integral part of his professional experience. He previously served as the Executive Director of Tri-City Peoples Corporation, Newark, New Jersey (one of Newark's oldest community-based organizations) and the Executive Director of Hope House of the Palm Beaches, Inc., West Palm Beach, Florida (the county's largest non-profit agency, whose primary mission is to provide housing and counseling services to people living with HIV/AIDS).

Mr. Walker has practiced as a social worker in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York and as an attorney to the New York City Council General Welfare Committee and the Committee on Veterans Affairs.
