Faculty Positions

The Columbia University School of Social Work invites nominations and applications for tenure and tenure-track positions. Appointments can be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
The School’s hiring priorities are faculty who can teach in the following areas:
- Advanced Clinical Practice
- Advanced General Practice and Programming
- Health, Mental Health, or Disabilities (Policy)
- International Social Work (Policy, Practice, and Administration)
- Social Work in the Work Place (Policy and Practice)
Candidates for practice positions must have a doctoral degree in social work or another social or behavioral science. A record of scholarship, funding, and experience in the specified field that is appropriate to rank of appointment is expected.
Additionally, the School is seeking a distinguished scholar for appointment as the Ruth Harris Ottman Professor of Family and Child Welfare.
