Current Research:

Practice Experience:

Dr. Guterman has provided clinical services and supervisory support in a wide variety of child and family service settings. These include providing clinical therapy, supervisory, and training support in residential treatment and aftercare agencies in Michigan and California, child and family therapy services in an outpatient mental health clinic in Michigan, adoption casework services in California, and clinical consultation services at a battered women's shelter in Jerusalem and at a homeless shelter in New York City. In addition, Dr. Guterman has provided expert consultation to federal, state, and local governmental bodies, private foundations, social service agencies, legal organizations, and schools. Dr. Guterman's present research examines the design, development, and evaluation of home visitation service models to prevent child maltreatment, and examines the role of clinical services in identifying and addressing children's exposure to community violence.
