| About us
The Field Education Department is responsible
for implementing the course in Field Instruction. It does this in several
ways. It recruits appropriate sites to be graduate placement opportunities
for students and recruits, screens and trains field instructors. It ensures
the quality of the program through systemic feedback. Members of the Department
co-chair with faculty the Field of Practice Advisory Committees. The
Department also sponsors the Placement
Fair to aid students in their placement and professional decision-making.
Field Education at CUSSW has a dual aim. Students
learn to master the knowledge and skills of the profession as they serve
individuals, families, neighborhoods, communities and organizations. "Learning
While Serving!"
