Application Process

M.S. Program
The application process for financial aid begins each year in January when students are able to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). At the School of Social Work, the FAFSA is the only document required in order to be considered for financial aid. Students in the Reduced Residency Program also should complete an RRP Scholarship Application in order to determine whether or not they are eligible for a 50% tuition scholarship. Because resources are limited, it is advised that students apply as early as possible and have all documents submitted by March 1st.

Financial aid eligibility will only be reviewed after the student has been admitted and when FAFSA data has been received by the School . After careful review, students are then sent an email describing any loans and scholarship for which they are eligible.

Ph.D. Program
The Financial Aid Office At CUSSW only offers Federal loans and private loans to doctoral students. The Doctoral Office offers other funding packages that can include partial to full tuition remission and competitively set living stipends. In addition, students may be eligible for a variety of grants and scholarships, research and teaching assistantships. Please visit the Doctoral Office website for more information on grants, stipends and scholarships.

Applications will only be reviewed when all required documentation has been received and the student has been admitted. After careful review, students are then sent an email describing any loans and scholarship for which they are eligible.
