Reduced Residency Program

Those who have been employed for at least two years in a human service organization may work toward the Master of Science in Social Work degree part-time while they remain employed by their organizations for the first two years of the program. Students take at least two courses each term. In the third year, the students attend school on a full-time basis, enrolling in course work and field education, completing the necessary 900 field hours. The program, called the Reduced Residency Program, takes at least five terms, but no longer than four years. Reduced Residency students employed by one of the 600-plus New York regional human service agencies with which CUSSW maintains field education relationships may be eligible for a scholarship covering 50% of tuition.

Financial aid eligibility will only be reviewed when FAFSA data has been received and the student has been admitted. After careful review, students are then sent an email describing any loans and scholarship for which they are eligible.
