CUSSW’s Assistant Professor Vicki Lens has secured a grant to launch a pilot study of the welfare fair hearing system.  The grant is given by The New York Community Trust and the Lois and Samuel Silberman Fund.  Professor Lens was one of four people chosen to receive the grant.

Professor Lens, who holds both a JD and PhD, is CUSSW’s coordinator of the School’s dual degree program in Law and Social Work. Her pilot study will pay special attention to clients who are sanctioned for not complying with work rules.
