Dell Discounts for Students

Columbia University and Dell Computers have created a custom Premier Page, which is a web based ordering site, for students, faculty and staff to order directly from Dell. It provides the following discounts:

• The full consumer catalog of Dimension and Inspiron at a discount
  
• 5% discount on all Dimension and Inspiron systems with a 1 year warranty
  
• 10% discount on all Dimension and Inspiron systems with a 3 or 4 year warranty
  
• Additional discounts on the full line of Optiplex and Latitude systems

• Go to the Columbia Web Site at http://www.columbia.edu/acis/sales.
  
  
• In the Individual Purchasing Screen:
  Scroll down to Dell and click on the link that says 'click here for information on ordering'.
  
  
• In the Entry-Purchasing Screen:
  Click the 'continue' button.
  
  
• At the Log In Screen:
  Enter your UNI/e-mail and password and click: "Login."
  
  
• On the Master Contracts Screen:
  From the list of Contracted Supplier links, select the 'Computer and Computer Related Supplies' link. In the table that appears, select the the 'Dell Marketing' link next to the Dell icon.
  
  
• In the Master Contracted Suppliers Screen:
  Scroll down and select the link under the bold heading 'Web Page (For Personal Purchases)'.
  
  
• On the Columbia University Purchasing Office Screen:
  At the bottom of this page, click on "Columbia University's Faculty, Student and Staff Dell…"
  
  
• You are now at "PremiereDell.Com" for Columbia University Personal Purchases. From here you can view Dell's catalog and configure your computer to meet your needs. See computer configuration recommendations.
