Comprehensive Examinations
Must be taken by end of of the third year

Dissertation Proposal
Within 1 year after completing comprehensive exams

Dissertation Defense
Must be undertaken within 3 years of approved proposal

Completion of all Ph.D. requirements
7 academic years after entering program
