University-Wide Options

In completing their degree requirements, doctoral students have the opportunity to choose from a wide array of courses offered throughout the Columbia University system. Students take their advanced research methods courses as well as all of their social/behavioral science and statistics courses in other departments in the University. Students are encouraged to consult with their academic advisors, other professors, the doctoral office, and fellow students when making choices of course selection.

If you have any questions as to whether a course may count toward a particular requirement, please contact the doctoral office.
