Center for Intervention & Prevention Research on HIV & Drug Abuse (CIPRHDA)
Funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the center's mission is to advance intervention and prevention research on HIV/AIDS and drug abuse by training the next cadre of social work researchers in the development, testing, and dissemination of empirically-validated intervention and prevention approaches that address contemporary social problems.

Center for the Study of Social Work Practice
The center is a joint program of the Columbia University School of Social Work and the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services. It is focused solely on the development and dissemination of social work practice knowledge.

Child Welfare Infonet
The Child Welfare Infonet is designed to provide informational resources to social work practitioners and advocates in the field of family and children services.

Clearinghouse on Int'l. Developments in Child, Youth and Family Policies
The Clearinghouse provides cross-national, comparative information about the policies, programs, benefits and services available in the advanced industrialized countries to address child, youth, and family needs.

Columbia Institute for Child & Family Policy Study
The mission of the institute is to identify and address fundamental and intractable problems in the formulation, analysis, implementation, and evaluation of social policies toward children, youth, and families. The distinctive approach of the Institute is its integration of both a developmental perspective and an international-comparative perspective into its work.

Cross National Studies Research Program
The program was established in the early 1970's and is focused on child and family policy in the advanced industrial world, including government, employment, and private sector programs and policies.

New York City Social Indicators Survey Center
The center is the first academically-based survey research centers with a specific focus on social welfare issues. The Center will provide a fully-equipped, automated data collection facility employing a Computer-Assisted Telephone Interview system.

Social Intervention Group
The Social Intervention Group (SIG) was formed at the Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW) in 1990 to meet and address the critical need for empirically-based community intervention research.

Willma and Albert MUSHER Program for Life Betterment Through Technology
The purpose of the program is promotion of activities that contribute to improving the lives of others. The program seeks to use science and technology for life betterment. The program was established because science, scientific knowledge, and technology have been insufficiently developed within social work.
