Brent returns to Columbia following a six-year career in the financial markets. Brent, a 1991 graduate of Columbia College, was an All-Ivy distance swimmer while swimming for the Lions and currently enjoys competing in triathlons. He recently completed his first half-ironman at the Wildflower International triathlon and is working towards competing in his first ironman. Brent is looking forward to working with the Columbia men's swimming team and believes his experience in distance events will help propel Columbia's program to an improved finish over last year.

Brent and his wife, Sara Schachter, a veterinarian, reside in Manhattan with their two golden retrievers and cat.
