Megan Brown

Megan is a well-rounded and accomplished swimmer who will be an
important asset to the Lion.s line-up in a variety of places.
Her 200 fly time from senior year puts her at the top of the
Lion depth chart and would have put her in finals at Ivy
Championships. She was Washington State Champ in the 500 free
in 2004 and she will add a boost to the Lion distance events as
well. She was MVP of high school swimming at Seattle Prep in
her junior and senior years and was on the honor roll there all
four years.

Charlotte Chiang
Backstroke, Fr - CC
Danville, CA
Charlotte will bring renewed gusto to the backstroke events.
She has recently started training with greater intensity and
hopes to see great drops in the 200 back and 100 back and fly.
She is a sectional qualifier in the 100 and 200 backstroke and
North Coast Section Finalist in the 100 back. She was also a
North Coast Section scholar athlete. Charlotte was captain of
her high school team and was named Varsity MVP in her senior
year.

Rachel Coburn
Backstroke/IM, Fr - CC
Marietta, GA
Rachel had a great senior year in high school and looks to keep
the momentum rolling at Columbia. She had lifetime bests in all
four of her best events and would have scored at Ivies in all of
them as well. A determined trainer and racer, Rachel has junior
national cuts in the 200IM and 100 back. She is a three-time
Scholastic All-American and a member of the National Honor
Society.

Mary Dooe
Distance free, Fr - CC
Belmont, MA
The only pure distance swimmer in the freshman class, Mary will
be an important contributor in the 500, 1000 and 1650. She is a
sectional qualifier in those events and the Massachusettes State
Champion in the 500 free in her junior year. She was a
Scholastic All-American as a sophomore, junior and senior and a
recipient of the Presidential Service Award which signifies 100
plus hours of community service.

Alex DiPalma
Breaststroke, Fr - CC
Branford, CT
Alex will be an important contributor in the breaststroke events
and the 100 fly. Her senior season times put her on the top 5
depth chart for the Lions last season. Described as a
consistent swimmer with natural talent, Alex was All-State,
All-America Consideration and captain of her high school team as
a senior. New to double sessions and strength training, Alex
hopes to drop time and improve technique and conditioning. She
is a member of the National Honor Society.

Lauren Fraley
Backstroke/Free, Fr - CC
Midlothian, VA
Lauren will be an asset to the Lions in all of the backstrokes
and the 100 and 200 freestyle. She comes from a strong training
background at Poseidon Swim Club and looks forward to
specializing her training to her events at Columbia. Her senior
season times would have made consols in all events at Ivies.
She was chosen for the All-Metro team the last three years by
the Richmond Times Dispatch and was an Academic All-American
junior and senior years.

Hannah Galey
Freestyle, Fr - CC
Clarksburg, WV
Hannah will be a great contributor to the Lions in the 50, 100,
and 200 freestyles as well as an important relay contributor.
She is an 8-time All American for swimming at Mercersburg
Academy where she was captain in her junior and senior years.
She was a 4 year letter winner in both swimming and track and
holds one school record in each sport. She has also added
backstroke and IM to her repertoire this past season.

Bridgette McCabe

A strong backstroker from Dick Shoulberg.s program at Germantown
Academy, Bridgette will be an important contributor in the 100
and 200 backstroke for the Lions. A tough and determined
workout swimmer, being able to do some focussed stroke training
should insure continued time drops. She was on the Honor Role
at GA sophomore through senior years and was an All-American in
prep swimming those years as well. Her twin sister Brittany
will be a freshman at Franklin and Marshall.

Megan Pierce
Breaststroke, Fr - CC
Folsom, CA
Megan will be a solid contributor in the breaststroke events for
the Lions this season. A positive, encouraging and determined
swimmer, Megan is a sectional qualifier and was the MVP for
Folsom High School in her senior year. She was valedictorian
and student body president and is a member of the National Honor
Society. She was also voted .Most Inspirational. at her USS
Club, the Sierra Marlins.

Casey Weddle
Fly/Free, Fr - CC
Clemons, NY
Casey is the most versatile of the freshman class with strong
ability and incoming times in fly, backstroke and freestyle.
She hopes to focus on the 100 fly and 100 and 200 freestyle.
She was a 3-Time MVP and captain in her junior and senior years
at Forsyth Country Day and was a 3-time Independent School State
Champ in the 100 backstroke. She graduated Cum Laude and is a
member of the National Honor Society and National Latin Honor
Society.
