Taiwanese Festival Day

Taiwanese Festival Day, Friday April 13, 2012 - Come and bring your friends and join us in celebrating the holidays of many Asian cultures in this event as this year, TASA and multiple other culture clubs bring you various authentic festive experiences!
We will be hosting many fun games that will give you an authentic taste of Taiwanese culture! Not to mention, we will be serving delicious Taiwanese food for FREE!
We will also have special performances by Yo-yo, Radiance, and much more! So stop by for a night of excitement, fun, and festivities! Also see the Facebook event.
TASA Spring OCM Applications

TASA OCM applications are now available for the Spring semester. Being an OCM is a great way to mingle with us and plan some of our great events!
Here is the OCM Application for Spring 2012. Applications are due to tasa-eboard@columbia.edu on Midnight Monday January 16th, 2012. Interviews are scheduled for Friday January 20th and Saturday January 21st.

Hi everyone! It's a busy week for TASA - we have two events this week.
FREE screening of "1911" (ft. Jackie Chan) (Thursday, November 17, 8-11pm, 304 Barnard Hall) - Join the TASA family in the screening of the latest film to feature Jackie Chan in his new, intriguing role as Huang Xing, a Chinese revolutionary leader, who was the first army commander-in-chief of the Republic of China--the second in command of Sun Yat-sen. TASA Teahouse (Friday, November 18, 8-9pm, Lerner C555) - TASA and CSC present the biggest event of our Fall: TASA Teahouse! The coffeehouse atmosphere you've come to enjoy, but with an Asian flavor and a trip to the traditional Taiwanese past. Come join us and enjoy some awesome, FREE, scrumdiddlyumptious assortment of Taiwanese pastries, snacks, and tea (both traditional & milk) - direct from Chinatown! (Facebook event)
Mochi Study Break!

In the midst of the hectic midterm season, we cordially invite you to join TASA and our new OCMs in our first study break of the year! You'll find us Monday, October 17 in Lerner West Ramp Lounge.
TASA willl be giving out delicious fresh hand-made mochi (made by our own hands!), a popular Taiwanese snack, rice cake made of glutinous rice pounded into paste and molded into shapes.
For those who've never had mochi before, we promise you that these delectable sweets will be amazing!

Please send the application to tasa-eboard@columbia.edu by midnight on Thursday, September 22nd. Interviews will take place Saturday, September 24th and Sunday, September 25th from 12:00 to 5:00pm, so please also indicate your availability. If you have any questions regarding applications, please shoot us an email. We look forward to working with you in the future!
We will be holding an info session Friday, September 16 at 8:00pm in Satow Room in Lerner Hall. This is a great chance to meet the board and get to know more about TASA! For more information, check out the Facebook event page.
