The YANGMINGSHAN NATIONAL PARK is one of the seven national parks of Taiwan. Culturally, it is the home of famous writer Lin Yutang, the summer residence of Chiang Kai-shek, the Chinese Culture University, and the Kuomintang Party Archives. Physically, it is famous for its cherry blossoms, hot springs, sulfur deposits, and the extinct volcano Seven Star Mountain. It is named after Wang Yangming, a Ming dynasty Chinese scholar and military official.
