TBP Big Sib/Little Sib Mentoring Program
The Tau Beta Pi Big Sib/Little Sib Mentoring Program is a new idea that strives to provide a smooth academic transition for First Years and Sophomores in the Engineering School. Through this program, current Tau Bates will serve as Big Sibs to one or more Little Sibs. The Big Sibs will share their experiences and give advices on issues such as major selection, course selection, and other academic resources such as finding internships for the summer. Little Sibs will be assigned a Big Sib whose major they are mostly interested in.
If you are interested in becoming a Big Sib, or simply wish to find out more information about the program, please include your name, year, and engineering major in an email to Ting Zhou at tz53@columbia.edu or at taubetapi@columbia.edu. We have many fun and exciting events planned for the upcoming year!
You may also register here as a Big Sib or a Little Sib.
TBP Tutoring Program
One of the most valuable
assets of Tau Beta Pi is its academically accomplished members. The mission of this program is to provide tutoring to undergraduates and fellow classmates, who are having difficulty with their courseworks. Tau Bates involved in this program are expected to commit at least two hours to tutoring each month, as well as holding study groups before final exams. The members are allowed to set their own tutoring schedules.
If you are interested in the mentoring program, or simply wish to find out more information, please include your name, year, and engineering major in an email to Tau Beta Pi at taubetapi@columbia.edu.
